This bill modifies Philadelphia's Public Employees Retirement Code to expand eligibility for service-connected death benefits during the pandemic. It creates a presumption that city employees who contracted COVID-19 while on the job are entitled to these benefits. The changes apply to deaths occurring within 90 days of the end of the state's disaster proclamation.
